Core Responsibilities:  Video and Audio Editing

• Edit full presentations into shorter video clips

• Enhance the professional presentation of videos (intros, outros, transitions, etc.)

• Adjust audio to the clearest quality (volume, background noise reduction, equalizer, etc.)

• Maintain (and when applicable, improve) visual video quality throughout editing process

• Add text to videos for titles, captions, etc. Ensure proper grammar throughout videos as needed.

• Reduce video file sizes via software (example: Handbrake)

 

Requirements

• Experience with both video editing and photo editing software (Adobe, Final Cut Pro or iMovie, etc.)

• Time management skills and capacity to handle shifting priorities

• Dependability to meet agreed upon deadlines. Note: Hours are flexible and we will make reasonable accommodations for your schedule

• Comfortable working on a team, communicating proactively, drafting work, and taking feedback

• Explain technical concepts in clear and concise prose

• Must own a computer and capacity for required software associated with the position responsibilities; existing professional video editing software is preferred

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Graphic Design— for making thumbnails

• Transcription and Captioning

Compensation

This work-study/introductory internship position does not provide a stipend BUT does support the opportunity to grow into a part-time paid position after a performance evaluation! We also provide letters of recommendation and the opportunity to network.
