Video Editor Work-study/Internship
Position Status: Open for Applications
We are seeking a skilled, creative video editor to join our team for our remote work-study/internship position. This is an enriching opportunity for those with video editing experience interested in working in a collaborative, supportive environment. Plus, if you are interested in the art therapies, this position will also be a great chance to enhance your learning and build connections!
Core Responsibilities: Video and Audio Editing
Edit full presentations into shorter video clips
Enhance the professional presentation of videos (intros, outros, transitions, etc.)
Adjust audio to the clearest quality (volume, background noise reduction, equalizer, etc.)
Maintain (and when applicable, improve) visual video quality throughout editing process
Add text to videos for titles, captions, etc. Ensure proper grammar throughout videos as needed.
Reduce video file sizes via software (example: Handbrake)
Experience with both video editing and photo editing software (Adobe, Final Cut Pro or iMovie, etc.)
Time management skills and capacity to handle shifting priorities
Dependability to meet agreed upon deadlines. Note: Hours are flexible and we will make reasonable accommodations for your schedule
Comfortable working on a team, communicating proactively, drafting work, and taking feedback
Explain technical concepts in clear and concise prose
Must own a computer and capacity for required software associated with the position responsibilities; existing professional video editing software is preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ideal Skills (Not Required)
Graphic Design— for making thumbnails
Transcription and Captioning
Remote, does not require travel
This work-study/introductory internship position does not provide a stipend BUT does support the opportunity to grow into a part-time paid position after a performance evaluation! We also provide letters of recommendation and the opportunity to network.
