We had a wonderful presentation with Fiona Chang’s sharing of her pioneering expressive arts in Hong Kong– beginning in a hospital setting during her Master’s degree in 1994, followed by training with Natalie Rogers in Person-Centered Expressive Arts, offering trainings at universities, and applying the expressive arts in many settings for health and wellbeing. It was inspiring to listen to Fiona’s research with couples, where one person had breast cancer– and to see how the expressive arts promoted communication, healing, and positive changes. Our experience deepened as Fiona led us in a brief experiential exercise integrating Person-Centered concepts with the expressive arts. It was a truly rich experience!

A couple highlights from participants:

"The work she has done for the arts based therapy field is beautiful. The positive impact on the couples with [women who had] breast cancer resonated with me.. very powerful.."
"I loved hearing Fiona Chang's connection and learning directly from Natalie Rogers and the Creative Connection!"
